As an alternative to our Create Awesome Screenplays Mentorship program, we also offer a private coaching program where students receive written feedback on their coursework and their completed screenplay for a short film (mentorship and private Zoom coaching calls are not included).

MEET OUR COACH AND FOUNDER
Debbie Wright
Debbie is a talented writing coach who holds an MFA in Creative Writing and a recipient of the prestigious Disney Fellowship where she wrote for Disney/ABC Family.
Debbie was a Staff Writer for the ABC Family Drama Lincoln Heights and a script reader for the Disney Fellowship Program. Debbie is currently a volunteer writing mentor with the amazing non-profit organization WriteGirl, and is in the process of producing a Young Adult fiction novel.
Since 2008, Debbie has taught young writers the power of telling a great story that delivers an impactful message through fully realized characters and compelling plots. Debbie puts her entire heart into empowering young writers to be empowered to use their voice and tell their stories.

Frequently asked questions
The Inner Circle is open enrollment and members work at their own pace to create a professional-level screenplay for a short film. It is recommended to devote at least three hours per week to completing the coursework. Consistency is key to screenwriting success!
The private one-on-one live Zoom coaching calls are only available in our private Create Awesome Screenplays Mentorship which requires an application.
The Inner Circle is best suited for kids/teens 11 to 17 years old who are passionate about writing and are self-motivated to succeed. However, if your child is an exceptional writer and is at least 10 years old, they are welcome to enroll.
You can absolutely enroll your child in the monthly plan, get a feel for the program and once you realize it's a great fit--enroll them into the six-month plan which offers a bigger bang for the buck.
There are several ways for your child to communicate with Coach Debbie.
Here is the process in a nutshell:
1. Students can email their questions.
2. Students can messenger their questions.
3. Students can ask their questions during their video message sessions.
4. Students can ask their questions within the course platform.

No. This community is strictly for kids and teens. To keep it a safe space for young aspiring screenwriters, all members must submit a video introduction or their membership will be canceled.
Our private mentorship program is on an application basis only. If you decide you want to upgrade to the mentorship program, you can APPLY at any time.
